The municipality's adapted primary school grades 7–9 is an integrated part of the school. Carlslundsskolan is one of Umeå municipality's practice schools, which means that during the school year, teacher students are received for their practice-based teacher education (VFU). Job Responsibilities In this position, you will teach grades 6-9 in German and English, and serve as a mentor for grade 8. Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan instruction based on the curriculum, and also to do broader planning together with colleagues. You shall individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate, and analyze instruction as well as assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' achievement of their goals. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing students and guardians about the student's knowledge development. About You You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment with structure and context for all students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary instruction based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teaching role is building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Requirements Teacher certification and eligibility in German and English for grades 7-9. Experience teaching at the secondary level, including grading. Valid extract from the criminal record registry. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speaking and writing. Employment Type This is a temporary position, part-time 70%, from October 26, 2026 through June 14, 2027. We warmly welcome your application!
