We have approximately 600 students and 100 educators at the school. We have access to a full-time IT pedagogue on school grounds and we continuously use technology as a tool in learning. Hagaskolan is one of Umeå Municipality's practice schools, which means we receive student teachers during the academic year for their practical training (VFU). Employment Form The position is a temporary contract, part-time 75%, with planned start as soon as possible by agreement until 2026-10-05. There may be a possibility for extension. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will teach music primarily for grades 4-6 and 7-9. Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan and conduct instruction based on the curriculum, as well as engage in broader planning together with colleagues. You will individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate, and analyze instruction, as well as assess and document students' learning development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal achievement. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing students and guardians about the student's learning development and, when appropriate, individually or together with a colleague, take on mentoring responsibilities. Qualifications Teacher certification and authorization to teach music in primary school Experience teaching music in primary school Valid criminal record clearance Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing About You You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and context for all students. You are well versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary instruction based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experiences to contribute to collegial learning.
