Pilträdsskolan is a independent school with approximately 330 students that emphasizes knowledge, security, and each student's unique value. The school was founded in 1994 and provides instruction in grades F-9 as well as after-school activities. Pilträdets preschool for children ages 1-5 is located adjacent to the school. The school is operated by Stiftelsen Källan in Västerås and is located in Vallby. We are now seeking an inspiring science teacher for middle school who wants to work with us to shape the future and contribute to a meaningful school experience for our students. We require that you have higher education and teaching certification (Elementary Teacher Grades 4-9, teacher for older age groups, or middle school teacher), subject competency in science grades 7-9, and experience working in elementary school. We also expect you to be familiar with the curriculum, course plans, the National Education Board's guidelines, and elementary school operations. You are responsible, independent, take your own initiative, and have strong collaboration skills. As a teacher with us, you will collaborate, plan, and evaluate instruction in consultation with colleagues and students. You are skilled at and interested in continuously developing leadership and stimulation as well as additional adaptations in your teaching. We actively work with motivating and value-creating instruction and TMO/IBIS. You have good computer skills. You also have a genuine interest in working with student development and learning, see possibilities, are flexible, dare to try new approaches, and have good experience collaborating. We are seeking someone who gains energy from working with people. You are driven by finding new approaches and want to contribute to well-planned and structured work.
