Elementary Teacher Grades 4-9 for the Resource School in Halmstad

Your Responsibilities The Resource School is a small school (grades 4-9) where we work according to a well-developed pedagogical approach tailored for students with extensive needs for special support. All students follow the national curriculum for compulsory school. At the Resource School, students have the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities. The activity is conducted with high staff density in a safe, structured, and adapted environment in new facilities where the learning environment is well-suited to the work both indoors and outdoors. Well-being and life perspective are central, and the relationship between students, staff, and guardians is the foundation for all work at the school. The work will consist of teaching individually or in small groups. The students have such extensive needs for adaptations in the pedagogical, social, and physical learning environment that they cannot be met in the regular school setting. Since the activity started in fall 2025, you will have good opportunities to be part of its development together with school management, student services, and other staff. You need to be confident in: · Teaching students with extensive needs for special support · Sensing the student's needs and individualizing accordingly · Finding new solutions when the old ones no longer work · Systematically evaluating, reconsidering, and analyzing your instruction · Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues · Possibly teaching subjects for which you lack certification The employment rate is 60-100% depending on your qualifications. Your Qualifications You are a certified teacher with credentials for grades 4-9, preferably with a focus on math/science/technology. Additional credentials are a plus. Experience working at a resource school, in a support or flex group is desirable. As a person, you need to be calm and able to handle stressful and particularly challenging situations. You also need to be flexible and quickly able to adjust and adapt to the changing needs of the activity and students. You enjoy collaborating with others and have a positive and solution-oriented approach to the assignment. You have a strong belief that all students can succeed.
