We at Kärnekullaskolan are now looking for more inspiring and dedicated after-school teachers for our Junibacken unit, grades 2-5, who want to help shape our school and after-school activities! Our school, which opened in fall 2023, is growing and we now need to strengthen our team. Our after-school care consists of two units, Sunnanäng (grades K-1) and Junibacken (grades 2-5), where we work together to create a fun and educational program for our students. Our modern facilities are bright and spacious, designed for after-school activities and needs. Here you'll find an art studio, kitchen, and multiple play areas for each unit. We also have a newly built sports hall, Habo Arena, and a school forest nearby – simply an inspiring place for both children and educators.
For us, preparation time between different assignments is a given. As an after-school teacher, your planning time is scheduled during school hours, both individually, by unit, and jointly for both units. You will be part of a team of eleven after-school teachers divided between two units.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for planning and implementing education based on the after-school care curriculum together with the Junibacken team that serves our older students. You lead and develop the pedagogical work and create the best possible conditions for each student.
You want to make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities and encouraging creativity and curiosity. You will show and make it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways throughout the day. During the school day, you will be present as a collaborating after-school teacher.
Additionally, the work involves continuing to contribute to making Kärnekulla a place where every student wants to be, feels comfortable, and develops to reach their full potential. We help with opening and closing, which means working hours vary throughout the week.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a licensed after-school teacher, has a positive outlook, and believes in people. Understanding the value of relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues is probably your greatest strength. Furthermore, you are a skilled and dedicated after-school teacher who prioritizes after-school care activities as a key area.
