Duties
Söderkullaskolan is now seeking a licensed elementary school teacher for after-school care (F-4) who is engaged, interested in after-school pedagogy, collegial, and confident in your leadership. You will be part of an engaged team of educators where we together plan, implement, and follow up on students' education and development based on the after-school care curriculum. In this role, you have specific pedagogical responsibility for the department where you primarily work. As a trained elementary school teacher in the after-school program, you are expected to participate in one of our three development groups. These groups focus on improvement and development work for the entire after-school care program at Söderkullaskolan. We work to create the best conditions for each student's learning and development in a safe environment.
We actively collaborate with the school's student support team regarding our accessible learning environment in the after-school care. We work to ensure students have continuity throughout their entire school day with us. During school hours, you collaborate with our school staff, and it may also be relevant for you to conduct teaching in a subject during the students' schooling. Together, we create an operation that meets our students and their guardians in the best way based on their individual needs. Working hours are between 06:15 and 17:30. You are expected to be able to open and close the after-school care facility.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is trained and licensed as an elementary school teacher in after-school care. Experience with language development work methods and strong knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing are seen as advantageous. It is also advantageous if you have visual arts or music as a secondary subject. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school and after-school care governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong pedagogical abilities and excellent leadership both inside and outside the classroom, which enables you to lead and organize your work to create a positive learning environment for all our students.

About the Workplace
Söderkullaskolan is an F-9 school in southern Malmö where our approximately 850 students are at the center. We work toward a good work climate that stimulates students' motivation, responsibility, and desire to learn. We want Söderkullaskolan to be every student's best school where everyone succeeds, feels safe, and has a positive outlook on the future. In grades 7-9, we have a nationally recruiting specialized program in English where one class of students studies English at an accelerated pace. Söderkullaskolan has five after-school care departments with approximately two trained elementary school teachers per department. In the after-school care program, we focus heavily on after-school development work regarding instruction, breaks, and social development. For us, it is important that many are involved in this work.
