Do you want to drive the business – not just report it? Candles Scandinavia is seeking a senior, analytically strong and business-driven Group Business Controller who wants to work close to operations and play a central role in developing a listed international group. This is not a traditional controller role focused on compiling and reporting historical figures. We're looking for someone who wants to understand what drives results, why developments look the way they do, and what we need to do to improve them. The role spans two different but closely interconnected operations: Candles Scandinavia's Swedish operations with production and Private Label business, and our German e-commerce company HashtagYou, with D2C brands and sales across multiple European markets. This makes the role both broad and complex – and gives you the opportunity to work with the entire value chain from raw materials, production and inventory to digital marketing, sales, customer and profitability. The Role As Group Business Controller, you will work closely with the Group CFO/COO, group management, the rest of the Group Finance team, and operational leaders in Sweden and Germany. You will become a central analytical and commercial partner to the business and be responsible for developing how we measure, analyze and manage the group's performance. You are expected not just to identify deviations. You should understand the reasons behind them, challenge the business and contribute to translating analysis into clear priorities and concrete actions. You will among other things: Drive and develop the group's business controlling and performance management. Analyze results, trends and deviations and identify the business drivers behind the developments. Develop, enhance and monitor KPIs, dashboards and analysis models for both e-commerce and manufacturing operations. Be an active Business Partner to management and operational leaders in Sweden and Germany. Drive and develop budget, forecast and rolling forecast. Analyze sales, gross margin, product and customer profitability, OPEX, working capital and cash flow. Analyze the e-commerce business based on contribution margin, marketing efficiency, ROAS, CAC, AOV, conversion, repeat rate, discounts, markets and channels. Analyze production based on productivity, capacity utilization, material costs, yield/scrap, staffing and production costs. Develop analyses of inventory and working capital and identify opportunities to release capital. Conduct scenario, sensitivity and profitability analyses to support commercial and strategic decisions. Early identify risks and opportunities and clearly communicate what they mean for the business. Challenge assumptions, forecasts and business cases and contribute to better and faster decisions. Continuously improve our processes, data quality, reporting tools and working methods. You report to the Group CFO/COO. Travel to our Berlin office is part of the role. Who are we looking for? We are seeking an experienced Business Controller who has already built a solid analytical and commercial toolkit and who can quickly get up to speed with a complex operation. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Many years of qualified experience in Business Control, Commercial Control, FP&A or equivalent. Experience from e-commerce/D2C and a good understanding of the commercial drivers in a digital consumer business. Experience from manufacturing operations and understanding of production-related financial management. Documented strong analytical ability and experience working with large datasets. Solid experience with budget, forecast, KPI monitoring, management reporting and profitability analysis. Ability to connect financial results with operational and commercial KPIs. Experience in developing analyses, KPI structures and reporting models yourself – not just working in already established structures. Very good Excel skills and experience with BI and reporting tools. Good system understanding and a strong interest in how data, automation, BI and AI can be used for better decision-making. Very good Swedish and English, both spoken and written. German is a plus. Who are you? You are analytical, curious and questioning. When results deviate from plan, you don't stop at noting the deviation – you want to understand why it occurred and what we can do about it. You are business-driven and operations-focused. You want to understand how the business actually works and what creates sales, margins, cash flow and long-term value. You are hands-on and unpretentious. One moment you're presenting an analysis to group management, the next you're digging into data yourself or discussing productivity with operations. You have integrity and dare to challenge when data and analysis point in a different direction than the established view. And above all, you don't see analysis as the end product. For you, the chain is: Data → Insight → Action → Result. Why Candles Scandinavia? At Candles Scandinavia, you get an unusually broad Group Business Controller role at the intersection of manufacturing, international e-commerce and strong consumer brands. You will work close to decisions and have the opportunity to influence how we develop our financial management, our KPIs and how we use data to drive the business forward. We operate in an environment with high pace, great ambitions and short decision paths. For the right person, this means great opportunity to make an impact – both on the role and on the group's continued development. We are therefore not looking for someone who just wants to report on the business. We're looking for someone who wants to understand it, challenge it and make it better.
