Group Accountant at Danir AB

Danir AB is now seeking a Group Accountant for its headquarters in Malmö. The role is suitable for you if you have a solid accounting foundation, a genuine interest in group accounting, and want to contribute in a complex group environment with approximately 250 subsidiaries in around 30 countries. About the Position As a Group Accountant, you will be an important part of Danir's group finance function. The role focuses on ongoing group accounting, consolidation and monitoring of subsidiary reporting. You work closely with the team and report to the Finance Director. The assignment involves ensuring quality, structure and timeliness in the group's financial reporting. Since much is happening within the group and the pace of change is high, you will also be involved in various projects and development initiatives where you can further broaden your expertise. You will also provide support to the subsidiaries in both reporting and system matters, with a helpful and professional approach. Responsibilities Main duties: • Ongoing group accounting and consolidation • Processing and monitoring of subsidiary reporting • Support to subsidiaries in reporting and system matters • Maintenance and development of reporting templates • Preparation of annual reports • Ongoing contact with subsidiaries, including in connection with acquisitions, disposals and other transactions Relevant Background We are looking for you who have an academic background in accounting and experience with accounting and reporting in a group structure. Alternatively, you have experience, at least 4–5 years, from audit and have worked on assignments with relevant exposure to group accounting. You have excellent skills in Excel and experience with IFRS. Danir works in Cognos and experience in some of the most common group accounting systems is a merit. The role requires good Swedish and English skills as you will have contact with international subsidiaries. Since the role involves many contact points with subsidiaries, you need to be communicative, service-oriented and clear in your follow-up in a respectful manner. We would like to see that you have drive and a desire to develop over time, but also stability and patience to build trust and understanding for a complex group structure.
