Ekebyś Animal Practice in Uppsala is seeking a licensed veterinary nurse or animal care assistant level 3 for a maternity leave position starting in September. We are a privately owned clinic with three veterinarians. The majority of our patients are cats and dogs, but we also happily welcome many rabbits and rodents. We are looking for someone with anesthesia experience who is a licensed veterinary nurse or animal care assistant with extended credentials at level 3, and has at least one year of practical experience working at a veterinary clinic. You are cheerful, thorough, and service-oriented with a gentle touch with both animals and people. You collaborate easily and communicate well with your colleagues and are happy to suggest solutions. Your tasks will be varied—some days you assist and manage anesthesia in the dental department (TIVA), other days you work as part of a team with the veterinarian in the clinic or in surgery. You will also help with other common tasks at a small veterinary clinic such as lab work, injections, reception, autoclaving, dishwashing, and cleaning. It is a plus if you are comfortable with radiography and have experience working hands-free. We strive to work as fear-free as possible to ensure that even shy and anxious animals have a good experience during their visits. All our colleagues are unpretentious and supportive of each other. The position is full-time (part-time can be discussed if desired) for at least one year. Day and evening shifts according to schedule. No on-call duties or nights.
