Fixed Assets/Inventory Accounting Specialist
Accounting Department / Rīgas ūdens
We will entrust you with:
Ensuring accounting of fixed assets and intangible investments (commissioning, relocation, sale, write-off and other business transactions, including those funded by EU funds, credit resources, or donations)
Maintaining inventory and low-value asset records in accordance with the chart of accounts
Recording, verifying, and monitoring uncompleted construction projects and equipment
Calculating and recording depreciation of long-term investments
Preparing fixed assets, inventory, and asset lists; organizing the inventory process and compiling results
Preparing proposals for reserves for non-liquid inventory and participating in the fixed asset write-off commission
Ensuring accounting data accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Participating in the preparation of financial statements, statistical reports, and information requested by auditors
Providing recommendations for improving accounting processes
We expect you to have:
Higher education or professional secondary education in accounting, finance, or economics
At least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting
Desirable experience in fixed assets and/or inventory accounting in a medium or large organization
Good skills working with accounting systems (Horizon will be considered an advantage) and MS Excel
High precision and sense of responsibility
Analytical thinking, ability to plan work and make decisions
Good communication and collaboration skills
Latvian language proficiency at least C1 level
