The Social Services Sector includes 4 operations: special accommodation/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disability services. The disability services operation in Stenungsund Municipality offers support and services according to the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL) to persons with various functional limitations. Our goal is to create conditions for participation, independence, and a meaningful everyday life where each individual is treated with respect for their self-determination and integrity. Within the Social Services Sector, we work with close collaboration between our operations, which may mean that you have the opportunity to work at multiple units beyond your regular workplace if needed. Within the disability services operation in Stenungsund Municipality, we work to create security, participation, and independence for persons with functional limitations. We offer support according to LSS and SoL and always place the individual's needs and abilities at the center. We are looking for two dedicated support assistants, one for a permanent position and one for a parental leave substitute position. 2 position(s). JOB DUTIES At Doktorsvillan, you have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's everyday lives. Here, six adults with various functional variations and individual needs live together. Together, we work to create a safe, meaningful, and developing everyday life where each individual is given the opportunity to live as independently as possible. As a support assistant, you are an important support in the residents' daily lives. You work with individually adapted everyday support based on each person's wishes, abilities, and needs. The work tasks are varied and may include support with personal care, meals, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and other practical daily chores. A large part of the work also involves motivating, encouraging, and strengthening the individual's own resources. You contribute to creating opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time by supporting the residents in social activities, interests, and community. In the role, you work from a pedagogical approach where participation, self-determination, and respect for the individual's integrity are fundamental starting points. We work together to provide the best possible care and support to our residents. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts. We are looking for someone who has: • Education from the Care and Nursing Program with a focus on support functions, support assistant training, or other training that the employer considers equivalent. • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. • Class B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have: • Higher education in behavioral sciences or pedagogical fields. • Knowledge and experience in low-arousal approaches, clear pedagogy, and motivational working methods. • Experience working within LSS operations. • Experience working with people on the autism spectrum and/or challenging behaviors. • Ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical and individually adapted support.
