Global Payroll Specialist - Consulting Assignment

Our Assignment: Global Payroll Specialist for an international company in Stockholm! Avanzera is now seeking, on behalf of our client, an experienced Global Payroll Specialist for a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible. The assignment is approximately 3 months (with possibility for extension) and the role is based at the client's office in Central Stockholm, where you will become part of the on-site team. This is a role for someone with experience in international payroll management and who is comfortable working in an environment where payroll is outsourced to external providers. The focus is primarily on coordinating, quality assuring, and developing payroll processes rather than independently managing the entire payroll run from start to finish. Your Responsibilities: As Global Payroll Specialist, you will be an important part of the client's global payroll function and work closely with the Global Payroll Manager, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers. Your responsibilities will include: - Coordinating monthly payroll processes and ensuring deadlines are met - Serving as the contact person with external payroll providers - Reviewing and validating payroll data and payroll reports - Performing reconciliations and identifying any discrepancies - Ensuring high data quality and accurate information from HR systems - Supporting Finance with reporting and reconciliations - Assisting with audits and ensuring documentation and controls are in place - Developing, documenting, and standardizing global payroll processes - Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and automation - Supporting the Global Payroll Manager and serving as backup when needed Your Background: We are looking for someone with solid payroll experience and who has previously worked with international or multi-country payroll. You are comfortable coordinating multiple parties and have a good understanding of the entire payroll process, from HR data and payroll records to controls, reconciliations, and reporting. We would like you to have: - Experience with global or international payroll management - Experience working with outsourced payroll providers - Strong experience with payroll controls, validations, and reconciliations - Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems - Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work - Excellent English language skills It is a plus if you have experience with systems such as HiBob, BDO, or Deel, and if you have previously been involved in building or developing payroll processes in an international organization.
