Responsibilities
As a documentation engineer at Växjö Energi, you'll become a key person in operations, development, and maintenance of our district heating and district cooling networks, both in operational and strategic work. The assignment includes responsibility for managing, using, and further developing our network information system (NIS) to meet today's and tomorrow's needs. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues who use the system, where you contribute to strengthening and supporting work methods, data quality, and digital processes.
You'll work continuously in NIS to document network changes, ensure correct documentation, and develop the system's functions and quality. NIS is a central platform for our employees, from design and dimensioning to operations and maintenance, and you play an important role in keeping the system current and usable.
In this role, you'll work closely with engineers, technicians, and suppliers. We also maintain close contact with Växjö Municipality, which provides geographic network information such as background maps and property data. The position offers a role in development and provides excellent opportunities for continuous professional and career development.
Examples of tasks that will be included:
Responsible for developing and operating our network information system
Evaluate and streamline new digital work processes to optimize usage in close collaboration with users
Provide users with support and training
Provide support for investigations by creating thematic maps and performing analyses
Prepare presentations and compile various types of statistics for decision-making
Ensure together with colleagues that the system contains the information needed for district heating operations and that the information is quality assured
Drive improvement efforts and develop more automated methods for collecting, processing, and refining network data
System operation and maintenance
Document routines and work methods for the role itself as well as for users, and serve as a system specialist

Qualifications:
University or college education in NIS/GIS or equivalent deemed relevant
Knowledge of working with geodata, database and server management
We value experience with NIS systems. Experience with Geosecma and AutoCAD is an advantage
Interest in digitalization opportunities within the NIS/GIS field
Previous experience with underground utility infrastructure is a merit
In the role as NIS/GIS engineer, we see that you're a communicative, solution-oriented, and very thorough person. The role offers you the opportunity to work methodically, structurally, and with great personal responsibility in projects related to documentation. Both independently, with colleagues, and external partners. It's important that you enjoy taking own initiatives and have the ability to gather necessary information to drive your work forward and translate needs and ideas into practical solutions.
