Saulkrastu Municipality (Registration number 90000068680) invites applications for Senior Expert - Municipal Methodologist in the Language Field for a fixed-term position (project-based) Key Responsibilities: Develop collaboration with state methodologists on specific tasks or professional development; create and implement work plans. Identify and update teachers' professional development needs and offer targeted professional development to pedagogues employed in the municipality. Implement professional support measures and consultations for teachers in the municipality for educational quality development within subject areas and fields of study. Provide professional support to educational institutions for improvement of the teaching process, including participation in classroom observations when necessary and provide constructive feedback for improving teaching quality; offer support for professional development to subject-specific teachers and carry out other support measures. Gather available data on teaching process quality and necessary support; provide feedback and recommendations for improvement of curriculum content and implementation. Organize collaboration with municipality teachers, promoting collection of best practice examples, and informing about current developments in the subject area. Analyze trends in general education content development in the European Union and worldwide; analyze and compile information in various areas of general education content. Requirements for Candidates: Master's degree or higher education in the field/pedagogy. At least 3 years of work experience in pedagogical work in an educational institution. Experience in planning, coordinating, or organizing methodological work in an educational institution. Desirable experience in organizing collaborative or methodological work between multiple educational institutions. Excellent knowledge of the Latvian language. Ability to work with computers, use software applications and other information technologies.
