No. 41703007038) invites you to join our team as MEDICAL DIRECTOR SIA "Jelgavas pilsētas slimnīca" is seeking a Medical Director to professionally and purposefully lead and improve medical processes, enhance the quality of medical care and patient safety, and contribute significantly to the hospital's future development. This is an important management position in a healthcare institution responsible for organizing and supervising medical processes, coordinating medical staff work, efficient resource utilization, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Education and Professional Qualifications: - Higher medical education and professional medical qualifications; - Status as a medical professional with the right to practice medicine in accordance with regulatory requirements; - Preferred: Professional certification as a medical professional in a relevant medical specialty; - Experience in a management position in healthcare or medical services, including team management experience; - Understanding of Latvia's healthcare system organization, healthcare institution operating principles, and healthcare service provision regulations. Professional and Management Competencies: - Understanding of medical process organization, quality management, and patient safety principles; - Experience planning, organizing, and supervising medical or departmental operations; - Ability to set priorities, establish achievable goals, and make informed decisions; - Developed analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to make fact- and data-based decisions; - Ability to build a professional team oriented toward collaboration and results; - Strong communication and collaboration skills, including constructive cooperation with medical professionals, administration, patients, and other stakeholders; - Understanding of financial resource planning and budget management principles; - Understanding of change management and ability to successfully implement organizational and process improvements; - Knowledge of regulatory acts governing healthcare institution operations and ability to ensure compliance; - Good computer skills and information system literacy, including experience with Doctor's Office, Microsoft Outlook, Datamed, and other systems necessary for job duties; - State language knowledge and proficiency at the level necessary for proper job performance in accordance with regulatory requirements; - Preferred: English language proficiency, particularly for professional communication and participation in international projects. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure organization, coordination, and supervision of medical processes, promoting quality, continuity, consistency, and patient safety; - Organize and oversee inpatient and outpatient medical service delivery in accordance with hospital goals and established requirements; - Plan, coordinate, and improve patient flow and medical process organization; - Ensure efficient organization of medical staff work, including personnel resource planning and capacity assessment; - Monitor medical process compliance with applicable regulations, hospital internal policies, and professional standards; - Ensure and oversee medical documentation circulation and completion in accordance with regulatory requirements; - Supervise medication circulation and use organization in medical processes, ensuring appropriate control mechanisms within competence; - Identify medical process risks and participate in developing mitigation measures; - Promote improvement of medical service quality management and patient safety systems; - Provide recommendations for medical service development, process optimization, and efficient resource utilization; - Participate in planning and implementing hospital digitalization processes, promoting effective use of information systems in medical process delivery; - Collaborate with hospital management, department heads, and medical professionals in improving medical processes; - Perform other tasks related to medical process management and hospital operations in accordance with position competence and regulatory requirements.
