When illness or functional limitations make it difficult for patients to visit a health center or hospital, we are there in home healthcare to provide compassionate care directly in the patient's own home. Home healthcare on Gotland is a dynamic unit with high development momentum that meets patients' needs for care and rehabilitation in special accommodations and regular homes. The goal of home healthcare is to provide good and safe care where patients feel secure, involved, and well-treated. Home healthcare is organized by geographic areas with multiprofessional teams including physiotherapists/physical therapists, district nurses/nurses, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and nursing assistants. Home healthcare as a workplace is characterized by a positive climate with high standards and proud employees, which is also reflected in our recurring employee surveys. Since we have several physiotherapists/physical therapists within home healthcare, there are excellent opportunities for collaboration, shared and individual development, mentorship, and internal training. We prioritize a good work environment and provide great flexibility in scheduling and employment levels. We are approximately 80 employees distributed across different teams around the island, and we are currently looking for two new physiotherapy colleagues. Could it be you? Your responsibilities The role involves performing rehabilitation interventions in patients' home environments with the goal of giving each patient the conditions for increased independence and participation. The work is varied and independent, and you plan your own workdays in consultation with your colleagues. Your responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and follow-up of physiotherapy interventions within home healthcare. Part of the work involves training and instructing care staff in everyday rehabilitation measures. The work is performed in close collaboration with an occupational therapist, where you together are responsible for a geographic area and conduct home visits. You work closely with nurses/district nurses and collaborate with care personnel and other actors such as social workers, primary care, and inpatient care. Who are you? You are a physiotherapist/physical therapist with Swedish professional credentials. A driver's license (category B) is required. Since the role includes training and supervising care personnel, it is important that you have a pedagogical approach. You should also express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have IT skills relevant to the position. The work requires your ability to plan your own day, prioritize tasks, make independent assessments, and document. Since we work in interprofessional teams, it is important that you enjoy teamwork and are skilled at collaborating with others to achieve set goals. We consider it an asset if you have experience with rehabilitation interventions in home healthcare. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where the region's core values of trust, participation, and care guide our work and approach. Why choose Region Gotland?
