Your Workplace
Specialized Rehabilitation at Centralsjukhuset in Karlstad is a unit within the health and rehabilitation operations area. The unit employs approximately 80 staff members in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and music and art therapy. The unit also has rehabilitation assistants on staff.
We are a great group of mixed ages and diverse expertise who support and help each other daily. Within specialized rehabilitation, approximately 40 physiotherapists work in total, which gives us good opportunities for collegial exchange and knowledge transfer. Your Responsibilities
Two physiotherapists currently staff the pelvic floor rehabilitation unit. We have a long waiting list and now need help reducing it.
As a physiotherapist in pelvic floor rehabilitation, you work with examination, assessment, and treatment of pelvic floor issues in patients of all genders. This can include pain management, incontinence, bladder and bowel dysfunction, and follow-up after childbirth injuries and gynecological operations. Patients are referred from, among others, the women's clinic, oncology, surgery, urology, or seek self-referral.
You collaborate closely with other professionals and may participate in teams for, for example, pelvic cancer and endometriosis. Work within inpatient care at the maternity ward may also occur.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are seeking a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist with experience working in pelvic floor rehabilitation.
You are an independent and self-driven person who takes responsibility and moves your work forward. You collaborate well with colleagues and other professionals and contribute to good cooperation. You have a holistic perspective and work person-centered with focus on both the patient's and the organization's needs.
