About Solbacken Solbacken is a special residential facility for people with dementia. We also have a unit with short-term and respite care as well as a day activities center. These are also for people with dementia. Activities are an important part of care. At Solbacken, there is a full-time activities coordinator who works to ensure that as many people as possible can participate in meaningful activities based on their interests and abilities. Solbacken is located at Stadshagsvägen 5 on Kungsholmen in a beautiful older building on a quiet street. We also have a lovely garden that we use frequently in the summer. About the role As a physical therapist, you will be part of a team with an occupational therapist, nurses, and care staff. Together, your task is to provide quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. In your role as a physical therapist, you will find the best ways for residents to use their own abilities in everyday life. You support and motivate people to develop and maintain their mobility. Often this means that you: examine/assess/treat residents' movement problems and functional impairments fit and prescribe medical aids and equipment work preventatively by educating other staff members about proper transfer techniques to avoid strain injuries. Your experience and knowledge We believe that you who are interested in joining us: are attracted to varied work that requires extensive knowledge of healthcare and care enjoy meeting people in different situations are responsible, enterprising, and have a positive and educational approach have good ability to collaborate as well as work independently enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues are accustomed to organizing your work in an efficient manner. You are a licensed physical therapist and we would like to see that you have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
