We are now seeking a physical therapist for our team due to a colleague's leave of absence and a planned generational transition in the work group. With us, you will be one of eight physical therapists within the Unit for Care and Health who together contribute broad expertise and great commitment. The majority of the team's work is directed towards our residents living in LSS and SoL housing, as well as certain services within personal assistance. The work group also includes a physical therapist responsible for daily activities, but that part is not included in this position. We offer a workplace with close collaboration, support from experienced colleagues, and excellent opportunities for professional development. You participate in regular physical therapist meetings and professional meetings together with occupational therapists, as well as interprofessional team meetings with occupational therapists, nurses, and district nurses. Of course, you also participate in our workplace meetings. Our goal is for the residents we meet to be able to live as independent and engaged lives as possible based on their own circumstances. Therefore, we work with the resident at the center and base our approach on the individual's needs, resources, and wishes. This is a permanent full-time position (100%) with annual working hours. Working hours are scheduled during office hours, which provides good conditions for balance between work and leisure. You will work from our office at Österängsparken, Förlandsgränd 1C. Your New Job Your work tasks include assessment, treatment, functional assessments, assistive device prescriptions, orders, and action proposals based on the individual's needs and circumstances. An important part of the assignment is to work preventively through educating, mentoring, and providing clear orders to residential staff so that services can be implemented close to the individual in daily work. We work in close collaboration with residential staff and other professionals to provide safe and cohesive support. As a physical therapist, you regularly participate in workplace meetings at the residences you are responsible for, annual health and care planning (HOV), and in coordinated individual planning (SIP), care planning prior to hospital discharge, and collaboration with primary care and habilitation services, among others. You collaborate daily with the resident, family members, and other professionals around the resident. You plan much of your work yourself and have great opportunity to influence how you structure your workday based on the activities and residents' needs. Common Work Tasks Meet with residents and residential staff and provide information, mentoring, and motivation regarding action proposals and treatment interventions, with special focus on health promotion work Collaborate with other professionals in the team, such as occupational therapists and nurses/district nurses, as well as with residential staff and unit managers Conduct assessments and treatments based on the resident's needs Participate in gym training and group activities at the sector's meeting place Your Qualifications Requirements Academic education as a licensed physical therapist Good computer skills Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing Driver's License Category B Physical ability to lift assistive devices in and out of a car and to install assistive devices at the resident's home Meritorious Experience working within habilitation and/or rehabilitation Experience working with individuals with neurological diagnoses Experience working within psychiatry We Are Looking for You Someone who adapts easily to changed circumstances, changes perspective and approach when needed, and sees opportunities in change.
