Our Offer Movement and Health, which is part of Primary Care Services in central Östergötland, is a university healthcare unit serving people who need rehabilitation due to illness, injury, or lifestyle-related issues. Approximately 140 people work here across 6 different units. Within Movement and Health, administrators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, speech-language pathologists, physicians, rehabilitation assistants, and nurses work together. Primary Care Rehabilitation in Åtvidaberg is part of the Outlying Areas unit within Movement and Health and consists of occupational therapists and physical therapists. The unit and operations offer excellent opportunities for professional development, participation in development and/or research, and clinical career paths. The unit's mission includes assessment and treatment of people with chronic pain, mental health issues, musculoskeletal disorders, neurology, and COPD/heart failure. We have close collaboration with the county's other rehabilitation organizations, health centers in the central county area, clinics at Linköping University Hospital, and the Medical Faculty at Linköping University. Job Description We are seeking a physical therapist for primary care rehabilitation with placement in Åtvidaberg. As a physical therapist with us, you work independently with assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients, primarily through individual contacts. Group interventions and patient education may occur. The role is broad and may include orthopedic rehabilitation as well as mental health issues and chronic pain. Documentation, teleQ, and administrative tasks are also natural parts of the role. At our unit in Åtvidaberg, you work in a small work group with good cohesion. Collaboration between physical therapists and occupational therapists is well-developed and is an important strength in our operations. You are expected to collaborate with other primary care staff, municipal rehabilitation, and other professionals as needed to ensure good and accessible care. Collaboration within primary care rehabilitation throughout the central county area occurs continuously. You are part of the care chain with the patient's best interests as the focus. In primary care, development is rapid and we continuously work on improvement and competency development to meet new needs in the population. The unit has a clear structure for internal competency development, and you will be included in our orientation program. About You You are a licensed physical therapist/physiotherapist with an interest in working in primary care. Previous experience working in primary care is meriting. We are looking for someone who is inspired by new challenges and stimulated by working with a broad scope of responsibilities. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner. You are confident in your professional role and have a professional approach. You have the ability to work independently with close collaboration with colleagues and you thrive as an important part of a large work group. Since the position involves working with patient groups across the entire primary care mission, we see that you, to succeed well with the role, are curious, driven, and solution-focused. You have an interest in research and development work and thrive with taking significant responsibility. Your personal qualities are important for fitting in with us. For this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible, which for us means being able to adapt to current situations, work through change, and also be able to relocate to different physical workplaces based on population needs. The placement is in Åtvidaberg, but may include work at other locations within the central county area.
