About the role and your responsibilities
At the specialist residential facility Papegojelyckan, people with cognitive disorders and pronounced BPSD issues (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia) live and receive care. We work person-centered with the goal of creating security, meaning, and the highest possible quality of life for each individual. Physical activity is an important part of the treatment. We view movement, exercise, and meaningful activity as central tools to strengthen function, promote health, and help prevent or reduce BPSD symptoms.
As a physiotherapist, you will become an important part of a dedicated and well-functioning interprofessional team where we share responsibility for each individual. We work closely together across professional boundaries and value different competencies that together contribute to a holistic view of our residents.
The assignment includes, among other things
Assess and monitor physical function, gait ability, balance, and fall risk.
Integrate physical activity as a natural part of daily life and help create an active environment for our residents, both indoors and outdoors.
Plan and carry out individual training interventions.
Develop and lead group activities with a focus on movement joy, participation, and well-being.
Work with evidence-based training methods such as High-Intensity Functional Exercise (HIFE).
Guide and educate care staff in transfers, activity-creating work methods, and person-centered strategies.
Contribute physiotherapy expertise to the team's work in preventing and managing BPSD through non-pharmacological interventions, preferably outdoors.

You are a licensed physiotherapist with a genuine interest in working with people with cognitive disorders and complex care needs. You see the person behind the illness and work from a person-centered approach.
For this assignment, we further require that you
enjoy working in a team and see the value of interprofessional collaboration
want to develop and lead health-promoting and activating initiatives for our residents
have the ability to motivate people with cognitive impairment to move and be active based on individual conditions
have good computer skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

About the workplace
Papegojelyckan is located in the southwestern part of Lund, right next to Folkparken, and houses 24 apartments distributed across 3 departments.
