Physiotherapist for Orthopedic Department - Temporary Position

We work with the spine clinic, surgery, orthopedic, and pediatric departments, as well as providing hand rehabilitation and outpatient care for children/adolescents and in the women's health area. The workplace is located in Östersund, in beautiful Jämtland with proximity to both mountains and Storsjö Lake. For those who are new to the region, we offer help arranging housing, just a few minutes' walk from the hospital. We are now seeking a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist for a maternity leave position. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a physiotherapist in our orthopedic acute care department, you will work closely with patients and in close collaboration with other professionals. Your tasks include: - performing physiotherapeutic assessments in the acute phase, assessing function, mobility, and mobilization needs - initiating and implementing early mobilization and rehabilitation interventions, and contributing to safe discharge from inpatient care - collaborating with occupational therapists and other team members The work is varied, and you will have the opportunity to use your clinical expertise while playing an important role in patient-centered teamwork. Your employment will be with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, and some weekend shifts are included. The position may also involve tasks within more than one of the areas we staff. QUALIFICATIONS Who are we looking for? We are seeking a licensed physiotherapist who enjoys working closely with patients and in a team-based environment. You are confident in your interactions, collaborate easily, and are curious about developing your profession. Experience in orthopedics, acute care, or inpatient care is meriting, but we also warmly welcome newly graduated physiotherapists or those with limited experience. Employment type: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: According to agreement, end date: 2027-08-31.
