The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and health and care services for these target groups. With approximately 1000 employees and 45 managers, we work continuously to improve the quality of our services for those we serve. About the Operations At the Social Care Administration, you will find stimulating work with an exciting patient population. At the municipal health and care unit in Borås City, two teams work with disability services and one team with social psychiatry. Your work will be directed toward patients living in group homes, service apartments, and patients in ordinary housing with personal assistance. Job Responsibilities At the unit, six physiotherapists work with disability services. We have the time and resources to work thoroughly and detail-focused with our patients and can develop and improve our work with our target group in focus. The Social Care Administration is a smaller administration. Short decision-making paths provide great opportunities for development of both the unit and our work in the direction we wish. Examples of projects we have initiated include training groups in gym and aquatic environments, training videos, education in transfer techniques in our operations, and initiatives to promote increased physical activity among a sedentary target group. Some of the diagnoses we work with include Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, various forms of intellectual disability, and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. We also work with acquired brain injuries and degenerative neurological diagnoses such as MS, ALS, and Huntington's disease. We provide physiotherapy interventions for musculoskeletal problems that may arise from the patient's underlying condition but also assess, investigate, and treat other conditions our patients experience. Our patient population requires a creative mindset where you will be challenged to push beyond conventional physiotherapy knowledge and methods. Therefore, it is important that you as an applicant dare to think outside the box and dare to be both playful and creative in your solutions. Qualifications Collaboration between different professions and with various institutions in the region is extensive, which requires that you have good collaborative skills. You should enjoy working independently and taking responsibility for your time and work, but at the same time appreciate being part of a team working toward the same goal. You should have good organizational and collaborative skills as well as a high degree of flexibility. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We work Monday-Friday during daytime with good opportunities for a flexible work schedule, where you take responsibility for how you organize your work in consultation with your colleagues. To some extent, there is an opportunity to work from home on administrative tasks. A driver's license is a requirement for this position.
