Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) in Skåne is characterized by continuous improvement work to develop the care and support we wish to provide our patients. BUP Trelleborg is a clinic with 29 committed employees divided among psychologists, counselors, physicians, nurses, an occupational therapist, and medical secretaries. JOB DUTIES We are now seeking a licensed physiotherapist for our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic! Here you will have the opportunity to develop together with us. In your role as a physiotherapist with us, you work to strengthen children's and adolescents' functional capacity, recovery, and physical well-being in connection with mental health challenges. You are also an important part of collaboration with the family network, schools, and social services. You become a much-needed part of the team as you contribute the rehabilitative perspective and physiotherapeutic expertise in assessments, treatments, and group activities. The work is varied and can include everything from individual interventions to body awareness, stress management, pain treatment, and consultation with colleagues. With us you get engaged colleagues, close teamwork, and the opportunity to develop physiotherapeutic approaches within BUP. We work primarily individually with our patients but the team is available as a resource. The staff's broad expertise is used to best match the children's and families' challenges. We have many patients who need our help and receive referrals that primarily come from Social Services, One Way In, First Line, schools, and health centers. You have great freedom to influence and organize your work while also having close collaboration with the unit manager. As a new employee, your employment begins with an orientation period where you work with the treatment team coordinator at the clinic to best get to know the operations, colleagues, and our guidelines. There is a network of physiotherapists within BUP; in inpatient care in Malmö, the eating disorders team in Malmö, BUP Trauma, outpatient care in Lund, Helsingborg, Kristianstad, and in Ystad. With these colleagues there is an opportunity for observation and internal training. During the orientation period, you have an experienced mentor who provides you with support and advice in your learning so that you become confident in your new role. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed physiotherapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have Swedish language skills corresponding at least to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. We consider it advantageous if you have experience with body awareness treatments such as Feldenkrais method, Basic Body Awareness Therapy, or Somatic Experiencing. Experience with children and young people, stress management, or trauma treatment is meriting but not required. As a physiotherapist at BUP, you also participate in group treatment for children with depression, anxiety, and trauma. We would therefore like you to have experience leading groups. To succeed in your role, you are a focused and flexible person with a good ability to set your own boundaries based on the routines and decisions made. You are responsible and comfortable working both individually and in teams. Furthermore, you have a holistic perspective regarding our patients. To be able to offer good care to our patients and their families and maintain good contact with other stakeholders, we require that you have good collaboration skills and are clear in your communication. We are looking for someone who is engaged in helping children and young people and has the drive to move the operations forward. Assistive devices have the mission to handle assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. Within the administration there is also vision, hearing, and deaf services and youth clinics in Skåne.
