Are you passionate about working as a physiotherapist and thrive in a role where you work broadly and close to patients?
At our Rehabilitation Unit Medicine, we offer you a rewarding and developmental position in an operation where many exciting things are happening right now. We warmly welcome your application!
Job Responsibilities
The Rehabilitation Unit Medicine in Västerås is part of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, which operates within the Health and Medical Care Administration, area Psychiatry, Medicine and Nearby Care. We work in both outpatient and inpatient care with assessment and rehabilitation measures within the Medical Clinic, Geriatric Clinic, and Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Västerås. Examples of patient groups in our area include heart and lung patients, patients with spinal cord injuries, and patients who have suffered a stroke or other brain injury; from acute injury to rehabilitation at hospital, outpatient care, and at home.
About the Workplace
We are a large work group with approximately 45 employed occupational therapists and physiotherapists, and within the operation there are also social workers, speech-language pathologists, and psychologists. We are a pleasant workplace with a good social climate and camaraderie. Collaboration is highly valued, and we often work in teams around the patient. As an employee with us, there is closeness among colleagues where there is always someone to ask and a large network that enables good exchange of knowledge and experience.
As a new employee with us, you will be offered a professional mentor regardless of your level of experience, and the conditions for professional development are good. We want to enable educational initiatives and the opportunity to observe and try different tasks to gain breadth in your competence. Our operation regularly receives students in our professions and receives good reviews from them.
It is important to us to develop the operation, and we are currently working on restructuring to meet patients' needs both now and in the future of health and medical care.
It is important to us that you feel well and enjoy your job, so we offer you
Customized introduction program so you feel secure and confident in your professional role
Opportunity for professional development through, for example, internal training
A workplace for different stages of life

Qualifications
You are a licensed physiotherapist or near the end of your education. It is an advantage if you have previous work experience relevant to the position, but even more important to us are your personal qualities, your drive for the position, and your interest in contributing to the operation's development. Since you will have significant patient contact, you need to be able to communicate and make yourself understood in Swedish, both orally and in writing, without difficulty. Home visits may occasionally occur in the position, so a B-category driver's license is a merit.
To thrive with us, we see that you are a curious and collaboration-oriented person who likes to contribute ideas and see opportunities. In a work context, you are driven and can both work independently as well as in collaboration with others. You find it exciting to work as a physiotherapist in a broad, outward-facing way based on the patient's needs. If you also have a genuine interest in contributing to development and long-term want to be part of the journey toward nearby care with us, then this could be right for you.
