We work in interdisciplinary teams with mapping, assessment, and rehabilitation interventions for individuals with neurological diseases and stroke. The operation consists of a department with 24/7 care (5 care beds), day rehabilitation, and outpatient services. We continuously develop methods and work approaches to increase quality and patient safety. We are located in Umeå at Norrlands University Hospital, building 26. We are now seeking an engaged and driven physiotherapist with an interest in working in one of our rehabilitation teams. WORK DUTIES As a physiotherapist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You work with patients both individually and in groups. You work in a neurological rehabilitation team together with an occupational therapist, social worker, nurse, physician, psychologists, and rehabilitation assistants. The team can consult with a dietitian and speech-language pathologist as needed. The work requires a good ability to work in a team but also to work independently. Examples of work duties that are part of your role as a physiotherapist: · Assessment and testing with various measurement instruments. Evaluation and rehabilitative treatment and training based on rehabilitation plans with team-shared goals. · Establish, implement, and follow up on individual rehabilitation plans. · Train patients in transfers, walking, balance, and activity ability to increase independence in daily life. · Provide training and treatment for conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. · Education for patients and family members. · Lead group training and mentor staff and students. · Participate in development and improvement work. QUALIFICATIONS Licensure as a physiotherapist. Experience with neurological rehabilitation and team collaboration is desirable. Good physical ability and capacity to perform work duties involving physical strain, such as transfers, gait training, and patient mobilization. A professional and respectful approach to patients, family members, and colleagues. We would like to see that you have experience working from an ICF perspective and that you have an interest in working evidence-based and actively participating in developing our services.
