Home Health and Medical Care (HSIH) consists of occupational therapists, physical therapists, registered nurses, and nursing assistants. In our wonderful team, we have 23 occupational therapists, 14 physical therapists, and 3 rehabilitation coordinators who work closely together. Our target population is patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care in their ordinary homes in Umeå municipality. During fall 2026, we will strengthen HSIH with a number of occupational therapists and physical therapists. This is to strengthen teamwork within HSIH and enable us to work with more preventive interventions through a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. The new team members will be integrated into regular operations and will participate in developing our current working methods. Your Responsibilities As a physical therapist, you'll work to create conditions for individuals to remain in their homes and live as independently as possible. Your work will include assessing patients' functional and mobility abilities and providing recommendations and instructions for transfers and exercise programs. Writing certificates, prescribing assistive devices, and training home care staff are common tasks. About You We're looking for you if you're a licensed physical therapist. If you have prior experience in home health care, teamwork, or have worked in specialist areas such as geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, or psychiatry, that's a plus—but we also welcome you if you have other work experience. The position requires that you have a Class B driver's license and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team while taking responsibility for your own contribution. You believe that professional and friendly interactions, perhaps with a touch of humor, are valuable tools for building good relationships with patients and colleagues. You're a positive and engaged colleague who wants to help develop our operations. In our recruitment process, we'll place great emphasis on personal suitability. Heavy lifting occurs, and you're expected to use assistive transfer equipment in your work. Since smoking and animals may be present in the work environment, you shouldn't have allergies.
