Recreation Leader Scope: Full-time 100% Duration: Fixed-term Employment Type: Fixed-term contract About the Job Description We are seeking a recreation leader for Futuraskolan International Hertig Karl at 100% starting in August. The position is a fixed-term contract for the fall term 2026 with the possibility of extension. Futuraskolan International Hertig Karl is a small primary school with a global perspective. We have a bilingual English-Swedish focus and are proud to have students and staff from different parts of the world with us. This creates a dynamic and international environment that is full of energy and joy. The school has one class in each grade level from preschool through grade 9, and we currently have the privilege of caring for just over 200 students who spend their days with us. The school is located in Rotebro center, Sollentuna, and is easily accessible by bus or commuter train. Job Responsibilities As a recreation leader at Futuraskolan Hertig Karl, you will be part of a wonderful team whose pedagogical work is led by a trained recreation teacher. Together you will plan, implement, and evaluate the activities in the program. You have a strong ability to create a safe social climate and build trusting relationships within the student group. You believe in every child's ability to learn and use methods that advance each student's experiences and development. Through self-reflection and feedback from colleagues, students, and guardians, you continuously develop your leadership skills. During the school day, the recreation team has an important task to create stimulating recess activities and ensure a safe learning environment for students in the schoolyard. You are also a resource in the classroom where you work alongside subject teachers to support students in their development and learning. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a trained recreation leader. You are a trustworthy adult for the children and have the ability to create a positive work climate in your student groups. You have good collaboration skills and a positive approach to your work that creates a positive atmosphere in the program. You are knowledgeable about the recreation center curriculum and have strong pedagogical insight. Terms To be hired, you must provide a criminal record certificate from the police.
