Do you want to develop digital solutions that contribute to social benefit and help shape the future IT environment at PTS? We are now looking for a full stack developer who wants to work with development and maintenance of our business-critical systems during an exciting period of change.
We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you get to ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone.
The position is placed in the IT Service Development unit within the Business Development Department. The department consists of three IT units responsible for operations, management, and system, business, and process development. We develop and maintain PTS IT systems, websites, and e-services, and support the agency in its digital development.
During the year, several system implementations will be carried out while a new organization is formed in preparation for the merger with Digg at the turn of 2026/27. The new agency means a doubling of the number of IT employees, which may result in changes in both the role and organizational placement. PTS IT environment is primarily built on Microsoft technology with operations mainly on-premises, while more cloud solutions are being introduced. The new IT operations are container-based and built on open source, which provides good development opportunities.
"My name is Paula Fagerlund, and I will be your manager. I believe in trust before control and that good solutions are created together. As a manager, I am clear about direction and expectations, but provide plenty of room for personal responsibility, new ideas, and different perspectives. I appreciate when people dare to think innovatively, question established ways of working, and find smarter ways to solve tasks. For me, leadership is something we do in our daily work, through dialogue, collaboration, and shared responsibility for the whole."
About the role
As a full stack developer, you will primarily work with backend development in Microsoft's technology stack and development of user interfaces for web applications. You will be part of an agile team and work with analysis, development, testing, and further development of our solutions in close collaboration with business, testers, architects, and other developers. The role also involves contributing to good code quality, system architecture, and knowledge sharing within the team.
About the team
In the department, just over 35 employees work in roles such as project managers, system developers, architects, IT technicians, requirements analysts, technical operations managers, and business developers. The culture in the unit is unpretentious, solution-oriented, and based on collaboration and knowledge sharing in small teams with broad roles. Here, developers, operations staff, project managers, and requirements analysts work together with great commitment to contribute to society's development.
About you
To succeed in this role, you are collaborative, solution-focused, and enjoy sharing your knowledge. You have good analytical ability, see connections in complex situations, and can weigh different solution options against each other. You are curious, stay updated in your field, and contribute to the team's development. At the same time, you work in a structured manner, plan your work well, and deliver with quality within set timeframes.
We are looking for someone who has:
At least 2 years of post-secondary education in system development, programming, or similar that the employer considers relevant.
Multiple years of experience developing in both .NET Framework and modern .NET versions.
Multiple years of experience with ASP.NET MVC and/or Razor Pages.
Multiple years of experience with testing, such as unit tests or integration tests and frontend testing.
Experience with frontend development within MVC-based web applications.
Knowledge of integration and API work.
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is also meritorious if you have:
Multiple years of experience developing against SQL databases.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Experience with container-based environments, such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
Experience working in on-premises environments.
Experience with CI/CD and automated build and deployment processes.
