Reco is Sweden's largest independent platform for customer reviews. Since 2007, we've collected over a million reviews across more than 60 industries, and every month thousands of people use Reco to find out which company they should actually hire.
Now we're looking for someone to take ownership of our entire frontend!
For a service like Reco, frontend is not decoration. It is the product – and it's also the only thing Google and language models see.
Traffic and user engagement matter to us. That means rendering strategy, load times, structured data, and semantic markup aren't just hygiene factors for us – they're directly connected to the business. And right now, the playing field online is more important than ever: more and more people find answers through Google and AI models. We want to hire someone who finds it exciting to help more people discover serious and skilled entrepreneurs.
What you'll do
Own our frontend in Svelte (SvelteKit) – architecture, quality, performance, and technical direction moving forward
Work with real technical SEO: Core Web Vitals, rendering strategy, structured data, and schema markup for reviews and business profiles
Explore AIO/GEO – how our content becomes readable, citable, and correctly rendered by AI models
Drive conversion optimization together with product and marketing: hypotheses, A/B testing, measurement, follow-up
Use AI tools in your own daily work and help us improve as a team
Who we think you are
You have a few years of experience with modern frontend development and are comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript. You've worked with SvelteKit before.
You understand how the web actually works: rendering, caching, HTML semantics, accessibility, and why these things connect to how a page ranks
You have a genuine interest in SEO, conversion, or AI-driven search – and ideally some opinions about where it's heading
You're curious by nature. You test things, you read up.
You can work independently and thrive owning an area
We have no requirement that you speak Swedish. The working language in the team is English.
