Interviews are scheduled to begin at the end of week 37. Job Description As a probation supervisor, you will be responsible for conditionally released clients under supervision as well as clients sentenced to probation. You will manage your own cases and will have conversations and client contact in your daily work. Probation Services also manages intensive supervision with electronic monitoring, so-called electronic ankle bracelets, community service, youth supervision, and clients serving sentences at institutions. Work within probation services includes conducting risk and needs assessments and creating plans for sentence implementation. In this role, you will actively participate in intervention work directed toward clients through structured case management conversations using the CRIMSTICS method, which is an approach that combines structured risk assessments with a conversation method based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Your responsibilities also include conducting personal investigations and issuing statements to the court and proposing appropriate sentences, which means that documentation, handling of misconduct, and administration are part of the work in addition to client conversations. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a structured manner according to legislation, is at ease in client-centered work consisting of many conversations over time where you work with evidence-based interventions to prevent recidivism and exercise public authority. You are secure, stable, and have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and adapt your way of communicating according to the recipient's circumstances. In your professional practice, you have good judgment, integrity, and a structured way of working. As a probation supervisor, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate clearly. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires. To thrive and succeed in your assignment, it is important that you share the Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others.
