The Leisure Unit, which includes Outdoor Recreation, has been organized since January 2026 in three operational areas: Administration, Sports Facilities Management and Youth Leisure. We are now facing a development phase where we want to strengthen strategic work with outdoor recreation and are therefore seeking a coordinator with a focus on long-term development, collaboration and planning.

DUTIES
As a leisure coordinator for outdoor recreation, you have a central role in developing Sandviken Municipality's outdoor recreation work. The assignment is about creating good conditions for an accessible, sustainable and attractive outdoor life that contributes to public health, quality of life, nature experiences and the municipality's attractiveness.
In the role, you work strategically with planning, development and coordination of outdoor recreation issues. You are responsible for initiating and driving development initiatives, coordinating issues between different stakeholders and providing information and analyses to support decision-making and long-term planning.
The work takes place in close collaboration with other administrations, authorities, community organizations, landowners and the business sector. You are an important link between the municipality's goals for outdoor recreation, public health, nature conservation and sustainable development and the initiatives implemented to achieve them.
The role also includes case handling, investigation work and participation in various networks. You are expected to initiate and drive projects and contribute to the development of the future of outdoor recreation in Sandviken Municipality.
The operational work related to management and maintenance takes place in close collaboration with the Leisure Unit's Sports Facilities Management operational area, while the coordinator is primarily responsible for planning, development and coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have relevant university education in, for example, urban planning, nature conservation, public health or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Experience working with outdoor recreation, urban planning or related areas.
• Project management experience
• Experience working in the public sector or politically governed organization
• Knowledge of nature conservation, sustainable development or tourism
As a person, you are structured, proactive and have the ability to see wholes and long-term perspectives. You thrive in a coordinating role where you get to build relationships, create engagement and bring different interests together. You can work independently and take responsibility for driving your issues forward, while at the same time you are unpretentious and appreciate collaboration. We particularly value good communication skills and a genuine interest in outdoor recreation's importance for people, society and the environment.
A Class B driver's license is required.
Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
