Adapted primary school and adapted upper secondary school in Köping have approximately 160 students and 110 employees distributed across four different school areas. We are integrated at Skogsbrynsskolan, Scheeleskolan, and Ullvigymnasiet. Nygårdsskolan is our own school where students with high care needs attend. The schools also have various recreation programs, which can be either an after-school center (according to the School Act) or recreation under LSS (Act on Support and Services for Certain Persons with Disabilities). Our students have an intellectual disability but may also have additional diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, ADD, language disorder, and physical functional variations. Students study either subjects or subject areas depending on their need for support. Several students have a staff member with them at all times. Students have a great need for clarifying pedagogy including visual support and sign language as alternative communication (TAKK). We are now seeking 3 recreation pedagogues. 2 of the positions are at Skogsbrynsskolan's recreation program and 1 position is at Nygårdsskolan's recreation program. These are temporary positions at 60%. 3 position(s). DUTIES As a recreation pedagogue, you support students during recreation time. Often you are a helping hand for the student and need to stay one step ahead. You work both independently and together with your colleagues. In interaction with students, you utilize their creativity and create a stimulating learning environment for development. Together with your colleagues, you evaluate the work to improve the quality of the program. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a certified after-school teacher and has experience working in adapted school and/or has experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or other diagnoses. This job is for you if you can work independently but see collaboration as a natural prerequisite for students' and the program's development. The work includes creating good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You work in a structured manner and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
