As an afterschool teacher at Albanoskolan school, you are responsible for creating an inspiring and developmental environment for students during their time in the afterschool program. You work both during school hours as a pedagogical resource in the classroom and after school in the afterschool program. The role involves actively contributing to students' social and personal development through structured activities, play and learning. The work can be both independent and as part of our engaged team. With us, you get a meaningful assignment where you help shape children's everyday life from play to learning. The daily work includes: • Plan and implement meaningful activities that promote students' development and learning in the afterschool program. • Support students pedagogically during school hours as a resource in the classroom. • Create security and structure through clear frameworks, low-affect communication and good leadership. • Build good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues to promote cooperation and well-being. • Contribute to the development of the program through innovative thinking, initiative and goal-oriented work. QUALIFICATIONS Who are we looking for? We are looking for an afterschool teacher who is a safe and clear teacher with a low-affect and attentive approach. You have a natural ability to meet each student based on their needs and create an environment where children feel seen and appreciated. You are relationship-building, organized and actively contribute to a positive culture in the afterschool program and team. We value your initiative and your solution-focused approach. You enjoy working collaboratively, are creative in your pedagogy and see opportunities in every interaction with children, guardians and colleagues. Desired competencies: • Trained and qualified afterschool teacher / experience working in afterschool programs. • Education / experience working in school libraries. Core requirements: • Good knowledge of Swedish spoken and written. Mentor training is a merit as we are a partner school with the assignment to receive teacher students.
