We create opportunities for the municipality's visitors and residents to experience and participate in a diverse leisure and cultural life. We operate activities ourselves and provide support to culture and recreation activities run by nonprofit associations, study organizations, and other actors. The department encompasses libraries, swimming facilities, cultural school, Youth Recreation, and general culture and recreation activities. Mantorps Recreation Center is organized within Youth and Recreation. The activity is located in the same building as Vifolka School's upper secondary level. The activity and staff are HBTQ-certified. WORK TASKS As a recreation leader, you develop the recreation center's activities together with colleagues, activity coordinators, and the unit manager in accordance with current assignments and governing documents. Your role includes understanding and taking clear responsibility as a team member, with a holistic perspective on our entire operations. In your work, you have continuous contact with young people and various stakeholders, which in practice means that you coach and build relationships with, for example, schools, guardians, and other actors in society. Collaboration with schools in the surrounding area is prioritized, and it is important that you offer our children and young people as varied, substantive, developmental, meaningful, and fun recreation activities as possible. As a recreation leader, you work days, evenings, and weekends according to schedule. QUALIFICATIONS You have a 2-year recreation leader education or equivalent education that the employer considers equivalent. B-driver's license is required for the position. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. We consider it advantageous if you have experience working with participation and democracy activities with young people. It is advantageous if you have experience planning, leading, and developing activities, individually and in groups. You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and together with others. You also have good initiative skills. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and notice and reward others' contributions. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. You have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You encourage and support change initiatives. You easily adapt your behavior in relation to other people's needs.
