Description:
Ref: 20261658 Are you an experienced and dedicated recreation leader who wants to make a difference for young people? Do you want to be part of developing a new and meaningful assignment? Then this might be the position for you. We are now seeking two recreation leaders for an assignment targeting Bellevue Gymnasium. Job Responsibilities As a recreation leader, you will help build a safe, inclusive, and inspiring meeting place together with young people. You believe in young people's abilities, see their ideas and engagement as a strength, and create conditions for youth-led activities where participation and influence are central. With a coaching and pedagogical approach, you are a trusted adult who inspires young people to take initiative, develop, and try new ideas. You set clear boundaries when needed and simultaneously build strong relationships based on respect and trust. You meet both the needs that young people express themselves and the needs that you as a recreation leader identify. You then implement these in planned and spontaneous activities where the effects of your work contribute to young people's development and engagement. You work both independently and together with colleagues to develop the activities. You actively contribute to common goals and are also a "doer" who gets things done. The work involves close cooperation with schools, guardians, police, social services, associations, and other local actors. Your home base will be at Lorensborg Recreation Center, which currently consists of 6 recreation leaders, but you will work to a large extent at Bellevue Gymnasium. The assignment means that you, together with colleagues and partners, will: - Work preventively and motivate young people towards an active and meaningful leisure time. - Encourage and guide young people to leisure activities, for example through associations, recreation centers, and other meeting places. - Build safe and trusting relationships with young people based on a coaching approach. - Cooperate with other departments, Bellevue Gymnasium, and civil society to strengthen young people's opportunities and participation. - Help develop the assignment based on the target group's needs. It is advantageous if you: - Have experience working in upper secondary school - Have experience with outreach work - Have documented knowledge of norm criticism, equality, and youth participation - Experience in running or being part of projects with or for the target group. - Have experience with volunteer engagement in associations or other activities for teenagers in upper secondary school. We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and responsible with a genuine commitment to children and young people. You see young people's resources and potential and have the ability to create trusting relationships while being a clear adult who dares to set boundaries when the situation requires it. You are a team player who collaborates well with colleagues and other actors, but you also enjoy taking personal responsibility and working independently. You are enterprising, action-oriented, and solution-focused – a person who sees opportunities, turns ideas into action, and contributes to developing the activities. You have good pedagogical skills, are attentive and flexible, and adapt your working methods based on young people's and the activities' needs. With personal maturity, good judgment, and a holistic perspective, you contribute to a safe and positive environment for both young people and colleagues. Do you recognize yourself?
