Lerum is truly a Super Municipality! Lerum Municipality, Sector Community Development and the Recreation Department, is now seeking a recreation leader for open youth activities. The Recreation Department is part of the Culture and Recreation business area, which also includes the Culture and Library Department and the Cultural School. Lerum Municipality has a rich and engaged recreation and association life, with a large proportion of children and young people in the population. We want to create good opportunities for active, developmental, and social recreation for the municipality's children and young people. Social sustainability, participation, and accessibility are important starting points in our work. The Recreation Department currently employs 11 recreation leaders working with open youth activities at three recreation centers in the municipality's urban areas, as well as with open activities for young adults. The department consists of a total of 23 employees and also includes janitorial and administrative responsibilities for facilities, hiking trails, swimming areas, association support, and association development. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a recreation leader, you work with young people aged 12-20 and serve the entire Lerum Municipality. You approach youth recreation from a holistic perspective and work promotively and preventively. The role includes: • planning, implementing, and following up on activities and initiatives based on the department's goals and young people's needs, • building safe and trustful relationships with young people and creating conditions for participation and influence, • being responsive to young people's wishes and ideas and giving them the opportunity to influence the content of activities, • work in a coaching manner and be a safe and good role model, • collaborate with actors within and outside the municipality to develop preventive and promotional work, • work for integration, diversity, and equal value for all. The work involves meeting the target group at different times, both during daytime and evenings and weekends. Your main placement is in Floda, with the Floda recreation center as your base. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • recreation leader education or other post-secondary education in a relevant area, alternatively experience and knowledge that the employer deems equivalent, • experience working with children and young people, preferably within open youth activities or similar activities, • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, • a B-category driver's license. It is a merit if you have experience in: • support processes and project management, • other activities directed at the target group, • work in an organization affiliated with KEKS and knowledge of the cooperation model.
