Culture and Community Development Administration consists of operations responsible for the management and maintenance of streets and parks, local traffic regulations, culture and recreation, as well as community planning, design, and development. Workplace In Ludvika Municipality, there are three meeting places operated by the municipality: Haffas, Lorensberga, and Grängesberg recreation centers. We are looking for you to join us in developing the municipality's open youth activities and recreational offerings for young people. Job Responsibilities As a recreation center leader, your mission is to create meaningful leisure time by operating attractive, democratic, and safe meeting places and activities for the target group 12-19 years old. We are seeking an active and engaged leader who, based on a supportive and coaching approach, creates a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels seen. The offerings should be varied and appeal to a broad target group, ranging from planned or spontaneous activities at the recreation center to holiday trips and larger events. The work includes being physically active where you participate in various activities together with visitors. You should also contribute to the municipality's democracy work by supporting and encouraging increased engagement in community issues. You work actively for local collaboration and networking. Other cross-departmental assignments may occur. Qualifications Post-secondary education with a pedagogical focus, recreation center leader training, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent is required. Documented experience working with adolescents and/or young adults. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Good computer skills. Good experience communicating via social media. Class B driver's license and access to your own car are required. It is advantageous if you: Have training in dialogue methodology. Have experience with equality work and leading groups based on values and value-based work. Have experience working in project form (anchor, involve, plan, market, implement, and evaluate). Are knowledgeable about and interested in youth culture and keep yourself updated on trends both locally and nationally. Have knowledge of and interest in technology and media. Personal Qualities You are an adult role model who is confident in yourself and your leadership. You have a positive outlook on life, are a good listener, and have the ability to engage and inspire. You have excellent collaboration skills and easily make contact with others and build relationships. You have a coaching approach and a willingness to support young people in realizing their ideas. You are creative and have the drive to develop operations together with the work team. You value diversity and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect the environment. Structured, responsible, flexible, solution-oriented, and stress-resilient are other important qualities you should have.
