As our foot care specialist is moving on to further studies, we are looking for you who are a trained foot care specialist and want to work at a well-functioning health center in southern Stockholm.
Vendelsö Health Center has just over 13,200 registered patients and is located beautifully near Tyresta National Park, but only about 30 minutes from Gullmarsplan by bus or about an hour from T-centralen.
At Vendelsö Health Center, we have a stable team of about 40 employees where you will join our reception team with district nurses and doctors, among others. In addition, we have a large and well-maintained home care service, a reliable nursing assistant team, a psychosocial group with three psychologists and a counselor, as well as a group of administrators/medical secretaries who are the health center's hub and public face.

Job Description
All duties of a medical foot care specialist at a health center.
Your work tasks involve medical foot care according to the guidelines included in the agreement.
This includes, among other things, preventing and treating foot problems in people within the target group as well as maintaining good foot health. You shall independently assess and treat people in the target groups based on referral instructions and, according to the person's needs, perform foot status assessments. The work requires broad expertise and independence.
Qualifications
Training as a nursing assistant according to the older curriculum, the three-year upper secondary school health and care program, or equivalent training
A foot therapist who has held an authorization agreement since 2008 and who worked previously for at least four years under an agreement with Region Stockholm does not need to meet this requirement
Training as a foot therapist/foot care specialist (minimum 20 weeks of training) or a one-year post-secondary education as a foot therapist/foot care specialist or equivalent training
Completed basic and advanced courses in foot care therapy in diabetes care at APC (Academic Primary Care Center, Diabetes) or equivalent training
Driver's license as we help some of our home care patients with foot care in their homes.
Previous experience with the Take Care medical record system.
Type of Employment:
Substitute position, full-time 100%. Start date September 1, 2026 or by agreement

For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Health Care Area:
- a background check is conducted prior to employment decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks at hiring.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional credentials, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guideline for non-credentialed staff with patient contact.
