About Kriminalvården Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating existing ones, and expanding our operations, and we are now seeking additional staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand centers, and inmate transportation. Kriminalvården's Communications Department is responsible for the agency's internal and external communications work, press matters, and the agency's overall brand work. This position is located in the department's editorial section. Job Description Kriminalvården is seeking a photographer who can strengthen the agency's image library with professional and high-quality photos. The images will be used as press photos, in the agency's various news channels, and in presentation materials. You will work in Kriminalvården's Communications Department in Norrköping, where your position is based. You will handle a large variety of photo assignments. This involves planning, coordinating, and conducting photo shoots, primarily at Kriminalvården's facilities scattered throughout the country. Planning takes place in ongoing consultation with the editorial manager. You will photograph portraits, genre images, and more documentary images from our operations, which include remand centers, prisons, probation services, and transportation operations. The work involves editing your images and cataloging them in an image library, where they are made available for future use in various contexts. You will also produce and edit certain video material in the form of short clips from Kriminalvården's environments. In this role, you will regularly collaborate with others in the Communications Department and with those you are photographing. You will also provide advice to the organization's communications units on photography and image production. The position involves recurring work trips to the agency's facilities around the country. Many trips are day trips, but more extensive assignments include overnight stays at hotels. The duration of the position is approximately 10 months. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is organized and self-directed, a team player with strong collaboration skills – someone who takes responsibility for their own tasks while also contributing to the team's success. You are confident, stable, and self-aware, which enables you to handle challenges from multiple perspectives. We are looking for someone who has: Post-secondary education as a still photographer or relevant experience that Kriminalvården considers equivalent At least three years of professional experience in still photography and image production Experience with studio photography Experience producing video material Very strong knowledge of photography, image production, and image management, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and working with image libraries Knowledge of producing video material Knowledge of GDPR and other legislation relevant to photography B-class driver's license It is also advantageous to have: Experience with editorial photo assignments Experience working in Kriminalvården's operations Other Information Kriminalvården has decided to eliminate the cover letter and replace it with selection questions relevant to the position.
