The role includes work with care, supervision, inspections, and security. You conduct interviews at, for example, admission and discharge, and to inform about decisions. You identify and address any special needs of the detainees and organize activities for them. You also ensure a calm, safe, and secure environment at the facility by performing security checks and inspections. Participation in transports, responsibility for food handling, and certain administrative tasks are also part of the position. The work can be somewhat physically demanding.
