Hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts throughout Sweden every day. Our organization consists of employees with different competencies, where each person is important in maintaining legal certainty and high quality at all levels. The Administrative Court of Malmö is one of Sweden's largest courts and one of the country's four migration courts. The Administrative Court is a general administrative court that primarily decides disputes between individuals and state or municipal authorities. The Administrative Court handles approximately 450 different types of cases. The most common case types are migration cases, tax cases, social insurance cases, cases under the Social Services Act, cases concerning administrative enforcement measures, driving license cases, cases concerning public procurement, and cases concerning delay claims. In addition, there are for example cases concerning legality review under the Local Government Act and various licensing cases. A large number of cases have EU law connections. The Administrative Court has approximately 300 employees working in modern facilities in a newly built court building at Malmö Central Station. The court is characterized by an open and pleasant work environment. The Administrative Court strives for diversity among staff in terms of age, gender, and cultural background. The Administrative Court of Malmö is now seeking two or more court case officers with entry during autumn 2026. Job Duties As a court case officer, you participate in the handling of the court's various case types. The job duties include, among other things, registering documents in cases, handling written exchanges, calling for oral hearings and dispatching judgments and decisions. The job duties also include taking notes during oral hearings. You may also be given the opportunity to write proposals for simpler decisions. The work is independent and several different cases and tasks are handled in parallel. We expect you to be able to handle both internal and external contacts. External contacts can for example be parties, lawyers, interpreters, and authorities. Contact can take place both in writing and orally, primarily via telephone calls. Internally, you work daily within your immediate work group as well as with other staff at the court. If necessary, the work can also include work with case registration. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has completed and approved secondary education. You master the Swedish language very well both in speech and in writing and you have good knowledge of English. It can be advantageous if you have current and relevant post-secondary education, for example approved vocational training as a paralegal/legal assistant. It can also be advantageous if you have current and relevant work experience where various forms of internal/external contacts have been a central part of the work. The handling of cases at the court is done entirely digitally. It is therefore important that you have good computer skills and are used to working in digital systems. It is also important that you can handle stressful situations and can organize and prioritize your work tasks. You meet high standards for responsibility, judgment, and accuracy. You are positive, have a pronounced sense of service and very good cooperation skills. Furthermore, you have very good adaptability and a good ability to absorb instructions and follow procedures. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and therefore testing is part of the recruitment process. As an employee or former employee of the Swedish Courts, you must have good references from the court to be considered for employment. To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means you stand up for democratic values and the state values that govern the Swedish Courts' operations. We require you to comply with applicable laws and we will extract information from the suspicion and burden register for final candidates.
