The department operates on behalf of the Care and Social Services Board and is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical care, individual and family services, disability services, and labor market unit. Together we work for sustainable development of the department's operations and are now seeking a driven administrative economist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as administrative economist, you are responsible for coordinating the department's planning and follow-up processes in alignment with the municipality's overall goals and budget process. You work both operationally and strategically with financial management and are responsible for developing processes in this area to increase efficiency and support operations.
Further, your role includes participating in the department's investigations and analytical work. You have the ability to translate complex issues into concrete proposals. You monitor the external environment and will work with continuous assessments and analyses together with the department's managers, supporting them in evaluating the financial forecast to increase efficiency and promote good financial management. You are expected to prepare decision documents and regularly compile reports for presentation to department management and the Care and Social Services Board.
As an administrative economist, you work closely with department management and operational managers as well as your colleagues in the department, particularly with development specialists in statistics and analysis. You will also receive support and guidance from the municipality's central finance unit and participate in the municipality's finance group, which meets regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires:
• a university degree or equivalent with an economic focus, preferably in public administration.
• several years of experience working as an economist or controller with qualified tasks.
• good digital skills
• advanced-level knowledge of Excel
• strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you also have:
• knowledge of database management and visualization in decision support systems.
• experience working in a politically governed organization.

You also have the ability to identify opportunities for the organization and assess various types of data to draw well-considered conclusions and create functional solutions.

You are communicative and comfortable speaking in front of others and have a pedagogical ability to communicate economics and statistics in a simple way, both verbally and in writing.
