The department encompasses a broad range of expertise distributed across four units: geodata, environment, planning and construction, and emergency services. The Community Development Administration also includes an administrative unit that reports directly to the Director. As Director, you will have a strategic key role in a municipality characterized by a forward-thinking spirit, where your work helps shape our collective development forward.
The Director position is a five-year appointment with the possibility of extension. The permanent position is as a qualified investigator. The position is full-time with trust-based working hours.

Responsibilities
Create coordinated, efficient, and long-term development of the Community Development Administration
Be ultimately responsible for the administration's operations, finances, and personnel.
Lead and develop operations through the administration's four unit managers and the administrative unit.
Actively participate in the municipality's strategic management group to drive the entire municipality's development forward.
Ensure that the administration delivers high quality in both regulatory authority, service, and interaction with citizens, politicians, and external stakeholders.
Represent the administration before the community development committee and independently drive and anchor complex processes in a politically governed organization.
Work toward transparent and close collaboration with the municipality's other administrations.
Ensure high quality and good service in the administration's regulatory authority and drive change processes with a focus on digital tools and modern working methods.
Qualifications
Relevant academic education, preferably within community development
Several years of experience as a manager
Experience with regulatory authority in a politically governed organization
Knowledge of the community development process.
Experience in organizational development and/or development processes.
Experience with budget responsibility and understanding of the budget process in the municipal sector.
Meritorious:
Experience at Director level, Department Manager, or Emergency Services Chief in a management group.
Experience successfully leading through other managers.
Experience from community development administration or equivalent in another municipality.
Experience with digitalization and implementation of digital tools.
