Description:

Tasks Are you looking for meaningful work where you get the chance to make a real difference for other people? The Administrator Unit is now seeking an administrator to join our great team! The Administrator Unit's activities are directed towards adult residents of Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities who are in need of an administrator/good man with special competence. The activities are governed by the Parental Code with decisions from the District Court. The unit consists of a unit manager, 1st administrator, 20 administrators, and an administrative administrator who will be your colleagues. The unit also has a development manager and an administrator. The Administrator Unit operates on behalf of the Guardianship Authority in Gothenburg and the Guardians in collaboration (ÖFS), which is responsible for providing administrators and good men to people with severe mental functional limitations, other serious medical conditions, substance abuse, and other serious social problems, sometimes in combination. The Administrator Unit steps in when it is difficult for a private good man/administrator to be the person's support. We assist individuals in economic, legal, and social matters. We safeguard the person's rights, manage property, and care for the person. The person's (principal's) needs are at the center, and work with clear goals and individual follow-ups is an important part of the administrator's development work. As an administrator employed at the Administrator Unit, you should contribute to increased quality of life for the person without depriving the individual of their own responsibility. In your role, you collaborate with professional networks and with the person's family when possible. In your role as administrator, the daily work will include, among other things, maintaining contact with principals and their networks, providing advice on personal matters, monitoring the right to care and support, and applying for various services/assistance as needed. The work also includes representing the principals before authorities and courts, structuring the principals' finances, documentation, and financial reporting. To meet the principals' individual needs and ensure secure relationships, we strive to be able to offer choices when selecting a representative. This requires diversity in our team to meet different preferences in a professional manner. We offer you engaging and challenging work among dedicated staff in pleasant premises in the city center with beautiful views over the river! Qualifications You must have a university degree as a social worker, in economics, behavioral science, law, or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent. You also need to have several years of experience and a genuine interest in working with the target group of people with mental functional limitations, often in combination with substance abuse and other serious social problems. You need to have good knowledge of social services such as healthcare, psychiatry, and social services. You also need to have good legal knowledge, primarily related to the Act on Support and Services (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). In addition, you need knowledge and experience in administration and finance. The role also requires experience working with people who have problematic/complex life situations. Your IT skills need to be good. Part of the assignment is performed in surrounding municipalities, therefore a Category B driver's license is required. Previous assignments as an administrator or good man are advantageous. Completed training as a good man before employment is advantageous, otherwise it can take place in connection with employment. Additional language skills besides Swedish and English are advantageous. As a person, your approach should be characterized by faith in the principal's willingness to be involved and take responsibility for their own social situation. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the principal's needs. You are comfortable in social contact situations, both informal and formal. You stand by decisions you have made and can convey uncomfortable messages when necessary. You are stable, secure, and work effectively under stress. You can balance different demands and keep calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between fact and person and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure. You establish clear goals and plan activities in good time. You use your time efficiently and work systematically, organizedly, and methodically. You ensure that work is completed and follow up on results. Finally, you may also need to resist pressure from others within your area of responsibility, set boundaries, and say no when necessary. Based on this, you need to be clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands. We welcome your application! Other The Guardianship Authority conducts a background check before employment can take place. You will also need to provide an extract from the criminal record register. In order to work as a personally appointed Good man/Administrator, you must have completed training as a Good man with a passing result. The training as a Good man can, after assessment, be carried out in connection with taking office. In this recruitment, you will answer questions where you can describe your experience and knowledge in the field instead of a cover letter. City of Gothenburg is one of Sweden's largest employers.
