About the Position As a Lead Assembler at Västanfors Steel Buildings, you will become a key person in our assembly team, which primarily operates in Central Sweden. You lead the work on-site in our construction projects – while also actively participating in the daily practical assembly. The role involves close collaboration with both assembly management and the responsible engineer, where you together ensure that each project is carried out in the best possible way. You will be based from your home somewhere in Central Sweden. Your main responsibilities: Lead and coordinate assembly on-site Actively work in assembly together with your team Be Västanfors' face to customers and suppliers Participate in construction meetings Conduct self-inspections according to applicable quality and safety procedures Since we have large parts of Sweden as our workplace, you need to be comfortable with traveling and staying away during work weeks. We typically work Monday through Thursday until 15:00, but this can vary depending on the project. The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible and direct employment with Västanfors Steel Buildings. About You We are looking for someone with experience in construction work or similar, preferably with a background in prefab or steel construction, and who sees their future in the construction industry. If you have also tried a supervisory role before, we see that as a plus, but it is not a requirement to apply for the position. The most important thing is that you have a good understanding of the construction industry, hold a B-class driver's license, and are someone we can rely on. To thrive in the role, you need to be solution-oriented and see opportunities where others see obstacles. You enjoy having things to do, work meticulously, and have the ability to take responsibility – both for the quality of your work and for safety on the work site. Good planning ability and foresight are also important qualities as the work often requires flexibility and structure. You are used to working in a team and contribute energy and wellbeing to the group. Since our projects largely consist of steel, prefab, and sheet metal, it is advantageous if you have experience with welding, simple sheet metal work, or have handled lifts and telescopic handlers. If you have certifications such as "Safe Lifting", "BAM", "Fall Protection", "Hot Work", or similar, that is an extra plus. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
