JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a lead teacher in Motala municipality, you will work together with the principal and teachers to drive development and jointly create conditions for students' enhanced learning and improved goal achievement. You assist the principal in pedagogical leadership and are driving in systematic quality work at the unit. You are an important part of strengthening the profession by leading teachers' collegial learning. You take special responsibility for analyzing the connections between methods, students' learning, and schools' results. You are expected to collaborate collegially with other lead teachers. The lead teacher is expected to be a good role model for the unit as well as the municipality as a whole. Beyond this, you as a lead teacher are expected to work based on research and proven methods. The principal leads and distributes the work based on the needs of the authority, the area of activity, and the unit. The principal of each school unit decides on the appointment of the lead teacher position. QUALIFICATIONS A prerequisite for employment as a lead teacher is meeting the requirements of the Swedish Schools Inspectorate according to the state grant ordinance (2019:1288): · have teacher certification and a permanent employment as a teacher in Motala municipality. · be able to document at least four years of well-attested work with teaching within one or more employments as a teacher in the school system. · have demonstrated a good ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. · be assessed by the authority as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching. You are also driven by a desire to see opportunities for improvement with a focus on students' goal achievement and equity.
