The Welfare Sector consists of four operations: disability services, home care and health and medical care in the home, individual and family care (IFO), and care and residential facilities. IFO is responsible for the following operations: support for children, young people, and their families, support for adults, subsistence support/economic assistance, and labor market initiatives and reception of newly arrived residents. Our IFO operation in the area of children and youth is now strengthening the organization with a First Social Worker. We offer an exciting and developmental assignment where you will have a central role in leading and developing work within both the Reception and Early Intervention team and the Investigation, Placement, and Follow-up team. WORK TASKS Working as a First Social Worker in the area of children and youth is varied and exciting work where you have the opportunity to be part of creating changes that make a difference for children and young people. As First Social Worker, you have overall daily responsibility for case management according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. You are the operational leader for social workers and distribute and follow up work in your team, among other things through workload measurement and individual method supervision. You work to make employees involved, give them relevant responsibility, and provide support for the employee's professional development. The work includes leading, following up, and developing the operation together with the unit manager in accordance with current legislation, national guidelines, and other guiding documents. You will collaborate with other actors such as schools, leisure activities, police, and always with the best interests of children and young people in focus. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a social worker or who have another education that the employer considers equivalent. You have very good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act, and have experience collaborating with partner organizations both within the municipality and region and with other authorities and actors. In the work, it is important that you can express yourself well in speech and writing, and that you adapt communication to the situation and target group. It is meritorious if you have previous experience in management and if you have knowledge of systems theory. We also see it as meritorious if you have knowledge of the documentation system Treserva and knowledge and experience of working according to BBiC. You need to have a good ability to create and maintain trusting relationships, both in relation to those we meet and in relation to the work group and other partners. To be able to handle the different situations that can arise in the work, you also need to be flexible, solution-focused, and enjoy collaborating across operational boundaries with the client's needs in focus. You demonstrate good judgment and a good view of humanity with respectful treatment. You are secure as a person and feel comfortable making independent decisions based on applicable legislation, while needing to be responsive to the work group's need for support and development. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Good computer skills and a B driving license are requirements for the position.
