Borås City is in an exciting phase where the Department of Individual and Family Care is growing and developing to better meet residents' needs. The Center Against Violence consists of the units Relationship Violence Unit, Barnahus Älvsborg, Älvsborg Resource Center, and Support Center for Youth. The operations are in a development phase with a focus on working knowledge-based, offering low-threshold activities and interventions without needs assessment, disseminating information, and strengthening collaboration and expertise in the field of intimate partner violence and support for crime victims. We are awaiting the move to new shared premises.
About the Operations
We are now seeking an additional Senior Social Worker for the Center Against Violence. Currently, there is one Senior Social Worker for the Relationship Violence Unit while other operations report directly to the unit manager. We now want to strengthen and ensure close management for the entire Center Against Violence. You will, together with the current Senior Social Worker and unit manager, form the management team for the Center Against Violence. Your focus will be directed toward the Support Center for Youth, Barnahus Älvsborg, and Älvsborg Resource Center. The two Senior Social Workers will carry out development work together to strengthen collaboration and competence across the entire unit and cover for each other during absences.
Barnahus Älvsborg has three coordinators who carry out assignments for ten municipalities in Sjuhärad. Älvsborg Resource Center is a project targeting honor-related violence and consists of 1.25 project leader/coordinator positions. The Support Center for Youth is a counseling reception offering support to victims of violence and crime, consisting of three social workers.
At the Department of Individual and Family Care, we prioritize leadership and are currently conducting development work where all managers and supervisors are offered training in Developmental Leadership (UL) and group development.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Social Worker, you are your colleagues' closest supervisor. Through situational leadership, you guide and provide methodological support both in individual cases and structural processes that move the operation and team forward. You guide work from a systemic perspective and drive the implementation of methods and working practices. Together with the unit manager, you are responsible for the unit's systematic monitoring and development of operations. You collaborate with other units within the Department of Individual and Family Care and the city.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and strong knowledge and work experience in the field of intimate partner violence, trauma, and crisis support. Training and practical experience with the assessment instruments SARA and PATRIARK are merits. You have experience in the exercise of public authority and/or support services for victims of violence or crime. You are highly independent, function as a resource for colleagues, and have the ability to see the organization from a holistic perspective.
Your communication skills are excellent, both verbally and in writing, and you can inspire others in their work. You are skilled in documentation and have very good administrative ability that enables you to structure and prioritize your work effectively. Collaboration and cooperation, both internally and externally, are self-evident to you, where you are accustomed to different types of meetings and can hold both a supportive and guiding role.
Previous experience in supervisory or managerial roles is a merit. Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to drive change are characteristics that define you, and you have the ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances. As a Senior Social Worker, you are professional and mature in your approach. You are skilled at creating and maintaining relationships both internally and externally, and you see opportunities for improvement in your work. You are outward-facing in professional contexts and act as a role model for others. A class B driver's license is required.
