Your Tasks
As a preschool teacher, your starting point is to have overall pedagogical responsibility in the preschool. You are expected to lead and distribute the pedagogical work within the team while contributing to creating collegial learning. The team will work together to plan, teach, document, and evaluate the activities based on the preschool curriculum and other governing documents.
As a preschool teacher, you promote each child's development and learning based on their interests, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments. In your role, you collaborate closely with colleagues and guardians, as well as other professionals involved with the child.
As a lead preschool teacher, you spend most of your position working as a preschool teacher in operations, with additional time dedicated to mentoring, coaching, and supporting colleagues to develop and ensure high and equitable quality in education. You work to develop instruction based on scientific foundation and proven experience. Your specific duties may vary depending on organizational needs and will be developed in collaboration with the management group.
This position is a temporary contract through June 30, 2027.

About You
It is a requirement that you hold a preschool teacher certification. As a lead preschool teacher, you have several years of well-recommended experience in the preschool teacher role. It is a requirement that you have at least four years of experience teaching in curriculum-based preschool.
You have a strong interest in developing instruction.
You have good communication skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lpfö18), you must organize and carry out work so that the child receives support in their language and communication development and ensure that every child can use Swedish in a rich and nuanced way.
In your role as a preschool teacher, you are well aware of the goals and quality standards for preschool operations. You have a good understanding of human differences and approach them in a responsive and flexible way in teaching and the preschool's daily life. You build good relationships and collaborate well with the contacts that occur in your professional role. You lead work with both children and colleagues through motivation, engagement, and participation. As a lead preschool teacher, you are a knowledge resource for others and continuously maintain your knowledge.
